Yes, BT Speak Can Do That Now! September 2025 Edition

BT Speak is back with another game-changing update that brings power, polish, and playfulness to your fingertips. From podcasting perfection to intelligent AI and smoother updates, the September release delivers enhancements across the board. Let's explore what's new!

Stream It Like It’s 2025

Podcasts just got a serious upgrade. With the new streaming feature, you can now play podcast episodes instantly without the need to download them first. Perfect for quick listening when you're connected to Wi-Fi and don’t want to fill up storage space.

Prefer to download? You’ll now see much clearer progress messages as episodes are retrieved. Behind the scenes, we’ve squashed a few podcast bugs, too. Feeds that wouldn’t delete properly are now gone when you say so, and the “Delete Old Episodes” feature now behaves as it should.

New in the cleanup crew is the “Delete Played Podcasts” option, which removes everything you’ve already heard (or half-heard) with one easy command. And thanks to friendlier wording throughout the app, you’ll feel more at home than ever.

Update in a Flash! Cape Not Included.

In updates following this release, BT Speak updates will complete faster than a coffee break, thanks to an overhauled update utility that’s equal parts speedy and smart. It tells you exactly what’s happening, how much has downloaded, and when you’re ready to reboot.

Whether you’re a tech pro or just here for the apps, the new update experience is intuitive, informative, and stress-free. You might even look forward to the next update.

AI Gets an IQ Boost

AI Chat has graduated to the latest GPT-5 model, giving it sharper reasoning and a deeper memory. It now recalls more of your past conversation, so you can hold longer, smarter chats without re-explaining yourself every five messages.

But wait— Ask AI (for single questions) won’t clutter your AI Chat history anymore. That means you can fire off a quick question like “How many teaspoons in a tablespoon?”, without breaking the flow of your ongoing chat.

Bonus: The AI Chat help file now includes quick links to open its history and session files directly in the file viewer. Smart.

The Quick Brown QWERTY Jumps Over the Lazy Chord

Prefer your full-sized keyboard? BT Speak now offers expanded support for peripheral QWERTY keyboards, letting you use function keys for common chord commands in Blazie Mode, which are especially handy in the editor. Just use your USB-C port to connect your keyboard and you're ready to go!

Here’s your cheat sheet:

  • F1: Context Help

  • F2: Options Menu

  • F3: Editor Menu

  • F4: Delete Menu

  • F5: Paste Menu

  • F6: Navigation Menu

  • F10: Shell Mode

These new keys fill in the gaps where Blazie Mode didn’t previously map. And there’s more QWERTY love on the way.

A Guide Worth Writing Home About

We’ve taken your feedback and refined the BT Speak user’s manual across the board. Confusing instructions have been clarified. For example, Thunderbird usage instructions are now clearly explained with easy steps.

Whether you're new to BT Speak or just need a refresher, the manual now serves as your friendly co-pilot, guiding you through the features that matter most.

Say Cheese to Text: OCR for Image Files

Got an image with text? BT Speak now lets you run OCR directly on .bmp, .jpg, and .png files from the file browser. No conversion needed. Just open the file and let BT Speak do the reading.

Whether it’s a photo of a flyer, a scanned letter, or an image of your favorite menu, BT Speak can now turn pictures into readable text fast.

The Bug Stops Here

Under the hood, we’ve tackled dozens of stability and reliability issues based on your reports. From subtle performance boosts to sneaky edge-case bugs, this update is smoother and more dependable than ever.

No major features here, just the kind of polish that makes everything else work better. We appreciate your feedback and bug reports, and we’re always listening.

Final Thought: You Asked. We Delivered.

From streaming podcasts to smarter AI, faster updates, friendlier menus, and better hardware support, the September update proves once again that yes, BT Speak can do that now.

Stay tuned for more updates, and in the meantime, keep exploring. You’re only a chord (or function key??) away from discovering what’s next.
